FAQS: Drone Photography in Sydney
Can you fly anywhere?
We’re able to fly just about wherever is necessary to get the job done. The main exception is Sydney Harbour airspace, which is classified as restricted and requires specific authorisation for drone flights. birds eye media has all of the correct approvals and details on our ReOC to fly there, but each project needs to be checked on flight maps first.
Are your pilots certified?
Yes, every one of birds eye media’s pilots is CASA-certified and holds a RePL. We always ensure that safety and professionalism are at the top of our priority list.
Do you have different drone options?
Yes, our selection of drones features a variety of options. This lets us seamlessly adapt to all manner of filming conditions. Whether it’s agile drones for tight indoor shots or heavy duty drones to capture 8k and VR video, we have you covered. We always make sure to have the latest and greatest technology available.
What’s your turnaround time?
The exact time it takes to get your finished product depends on the project, but we always work quickly. After the filming process, our editors get to work straight away. They can have the project polished within weeks or even days, depending on the complexity.
Do I need to be on-site?
No, you don’t need to be present on site while we’re shooting. However, you’re more than welcome to join if you’d like to join to help guide the process. It will also be a great opportunity to catch our amazing drone pilots in action.
What resolution can I expect?
You can expect some of the best resolution on the market, with our 5.2K and 8K cameras. This will ensure that every frame is crisp, cinematic, and perfectly suited to make a splash on any platform.
